What services does HPAI offer?

At Health Psychology Associates of Indiana, LLC , we offer individual psychological counseling services and psychological testing for adults.

Why work with specialists at HPAI?

Drs. Jenkins and Barbera are specialists in clinical health psychology and have specialized training in working with the acutely and chronically medically ill. Both have also worked with physicians and healthcare workers to address burnout and moral injury.

What treatment approaches are offered at HPAI?

This depends on your provider. Typically, both Drs. Jenkins and Barbera use cognitive-behavioral and dialectical-behavioral techniques, although the application of these theories and techniques may vary. Dr. Jenkins is currently completing EMDRIA-approved basic training for EMDR.

How long does treatment typically last?

This depends on you and your provider. Treatment can be brief and solution-focused, or long-term and supportive. Session length typically varies from 45 mins to 90 mins.

Do you all prescribe medication?

No. As psychologists, we are not licensed to prescribe medication. We can, however, communicate with your PCP and/or psychiatrist regarding medication management.

Are appointments in-person or virtual?

Dr. Jenkins offers both in-person and virtual appointments. Dr. Barbera offers virtual appointments.
